Miltenyi Biotec: Merger & Acquisitions

Acquisition:

2013: Miltenyi Biotec acquire Owl biomedical which developing and commercializing a high-speed, microchip-based cell sorting platform, the Nanosorter, for simple and flexible cell purification. Cell purified from  Owl technology can be employed for a wide variety of commercial applications, including: adoptive immunotherapy for treatment of cancer, stem cell therapies for regenerative medicine etc. The acquisition provides Miltenyi’s  to expand comprehensive solutions to the research and clinical cell therapy markets.

2014: Miltenyi Biotec acquires gene therapy assets from Lentigen Corporation which strengthens Miltenyi Biotec’s portfolio in cell and gene therapy. 

Collaboration:

2011: Miltenyi Biotec collaborate  with TeutoCell to develop novel cell culture techniques.  The TeutoCell  is a provider of cutting edge cell culture technology which broaden the  experimental integration path to include cell culture for biomanufacturing with the addition of five novel cell culture.

2010: Milltenyi Biotec  enetered into strategic partnership with  Stemgent  for co-development and commercialization of stem cell research products. Under this partnership Miltenyi Biotec will be responsible for worldwide marketing and sales of Stemgent's existing stem cell product portfolio outside the USA and  Stemgent will continue to serve its US customers. 

2015: Miltenyi biotec and  Cesca therapeutics' subsidiary Totipotentrx announce multi-year commercial agreement for bone marrow transplantation

2016: GSK and Miltenyi Biotec  entered  a strategic collaboration  together  by which  GSK’s entered expertise in developing cell and gene therapy based treatments.

2007: BD Biosciences and StemCell Technologies Sign License Agreements with WARF to Commercialize Novel Culture Media and Surfaces for Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research

2015: Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) and STEMCELL Technologies  signed a license agreement  for STEMCELL global exclusive rights to commercialize novel tools for Parkinson’s Disease research.

2016: GE Healthcare  license with STEMCELL Technologies for  T-Cell reagents. Under this agreement  STEMCELL technologies provide cGMP grade reagent for development and manufacturing of cellular immunotherapies

2016: STEMCELL Technologies entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences for complete rights to develop products for cerebral organoid culture.

2016: BioLife Solutions has exclusive rights for variety of temperature sensitive products for research in areas such as cellular therapies, blood cancers, and solid tumors for clinical trial testing to STEMCELL Technologies.

2016: STEMCELL Technologies signed a patent license agreement with iPS Academia Japan to license and commercialize iPS Academia Japan patented technologies for induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS cell) research.
