Clean clothes using easy laundry methods

Objective:
The objective of the study is to look for advanced technologies for keeping clothes clean without causing-

  • color fade,
  • losing their shape and strength,
  • even damaging the fibers.
We will exclude the following from the scope:
  • Technologies that are not significantly superior in benefit to existing solutions in the market today
  • Technologies that are added to clothing during its manufacture.
  • Technologies that cannot be used by the consumer in their home.
  • Technologies that impart a negative attribute to clothing to protect them.

Background:
Washing clothes help to remove any bacteria, dirt, fleas, mites, and other irritants or infection and reduce the incidence of infectious diseases. Regular washing and drying can damage certain fabrics, short-term damage like rips and tears, and more subtle, long-term fading and fiber erosion, all of which ultimately reduce the longevity of our garments.

The technologies that could preserve clothing to retain their “new” look and feel for longer. The user feels confident when the clothes look and feel new. Companies are trying to achieve these goals by coming up with ways that could gain consumer confidence.

What we did

We provided detailed answers to the following questions-

  • The technologies that could preserve clothing to retain their “new” look and feel for longer. The user feels confident when the clothes look and feel new.
  • Is technology useable by the consumer in their home, preferably as part of the normal laundering process?
  • Does technology provide an immediate signal of efficacy for the consumer?
  • What problems and solutions are associated with technologies that could preserve clothing to retain its “new” look and feel for longer?
  • What technologies are the market players using to retain their “new” look and feel for longer?
  • What are the key success market stories that are seen as market drivers?
